Welcome to Liminal Therapy
Moque Krape (she/they)
MSW, LCSW, RYT200
I’m a queer, biracial, intersectional feminist, and I believe that the personal is political. Our identities shape how we move through the world, and how the world responds to us. A core part of my work is exploring how intersectional identity impacts our ability to feel safe and connected.
I am committed to being anti-racist and practicing accountability. This means I hold myself accountable to unlearn practices that have caused harm, particularly to communities who have experienced institutional harm and the pathologizing effects of traditional mental health systems.
My style is integrative- I draw from somatic, cognitive, attachment-based, and humanistic methods to support the whole person. I’m also a relational therapist, which means I deeply value the relationship between us. I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, so I invite the people I work with to co-create a plan that feels supportive, empowering, and uniquely right for them.
About Me
My Approach to Therapy
What I Support
I’m a trauma-informed therapist, and I work with people across a wide range of life experiences, including:
Attachment and developmental trauma
Depression
Anxiety
How I Work
My approach is eclectic and integrative. I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities depending on your needs. These include:
Somatic Therapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy)
Subtle® Yoga
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Attachment-Based Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Polyvagal-informed practices
As a somatic therapist, I pay close attention to how experiences live in the nervous system and show up through sensations, posture, energy, and movement. Together, we gently explore the body as a source of information, not something to be ignored or pushed through.
Somatic work with me is never about forcing or “fixing”. It’s about building safety, increasing awareness, and creating space for your body to do what it naturally knows how to do: process, release, and heal. I integrate grounding techniques, breathwork, mindful movement, and curiosity-based exploration to help you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels empowering and deeply regulating.
Whether you're healing trauma, navigating stress, or simply feeling disconnected, I help you develop a more compassionate relationship with your body so you can access resilience, presence, and a greater sense of wholeness.

Who I Work With
I work with adults of all ages, and I bring my own lived experience into the room- because I know what it’s like to navigate complex identities, family dynamics, and the feeling of not quite fitting in.
I especially love working with people who identify as queer, BIPOC, middle children, or outsiders. There’s a special kind of wisdom that comes from living in the in-between, and I truly value the honesty and creativity that often lives there.
I’m deeply drawn to work that centers on things like estrangement, changing family patterns across generations, and learning how to care for ourselves in the ways we may not have been cared for. Self-parenting isn’t easy, but it can be incredibly freeing, and I feel honored to support that journey.
I also hold a special place in my heart for new and emerging families. Becoming a caregiver can bring up so much- old wounds, new identities, shifting roles. Many of us were never taught how to feel safe in our own bodies. I support caregivers in slowly rebuilding that internal safety and trust, so they can show up with more ease, connection, and presence for their children. Reclaiming your regulation is radical healing- for you and for the next generation.
I work with individual adults and offer in-person sessions in Asheville, NC. For those who feel more comfortable moving their bodies while processing, I also offer walk-and-talk sessions—we don’t have to stay seated to do meaningful work!
I reserve telehealth sessions on an as-needed basis, like when you’re coming down with a cold but still want support from your couch.
I offer supervision for provisionally licensed LCSWAs in North Carolina, and this is some of my most meaningful work. My supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and deeply nurturing of your growth as a therapist. As a queer, biracial therapist, I especially encourage queer and BIPOC LCSWAs to reach out. Your identities and lived experiences matter, and I am committed to supporting you in developing your voice, your power, and clarity in how you want to show up in this work.
